  1. What instruments (includes voice) do you play?
Piano, flute, a little guitar....and bassoon.

  2. Do you write lyrics or music, or both?
    Both.

  3. What styles of music do you write in?
CCM: Contemporary Christian Music. I fall into the folk-pop side of the genre.

  4. When and how did you get started in music, what are you doing now, and where have you played?
Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. I ended up studying Music History & Lit. at Florida State, with a 2nd degree in flute performance. The songwriting began around 1990 or so, when I first joined up with the songwriting group now known as MACS.

  5. Do you perform regularly and what are your preferred venues?
Not as often as I like, but fairly regularly. Coffee houses are fun because of the casual atmosphere. I also really enjoy Northwestern Bookstores. They are friendly, and it's interesting for me to watch people mill about the store as I play.

  6. Do you have any recorded music? If so, out with it!
My first CD project, "Shine" was released in June 2005. It's on the shelves of our local Christian bookstores, and is also available online. "Love Colored Glasses" broke through the top 40 Christian Radio tunes in January 2006.

  7. Do you have a website?  If so, what is it?
    www.nikkifrizzell.com

  8. Is your music available for purchase online?  If so, where?

For a signed copy, go to nikkifrizzell.com and Paypal. It's also available on www.cdbaby.com, www.walmart.com, www.bestbuy.com, etc. Downloads available on itunes, etc.

  9. How far do you want to go with your music at this time? What are your goals?

Right now, I'm enjoying occasional gigs and special engagements. I don't know what God has planned for me, but I know there's something around the corner. My primary goal is to be obedient to the call when I hear it!

  10. Are you interested in collaborating with other musicians and songwriters?

I think so. Co-writing has proven challenging for me, in that it's hard to 'release' my own ideas to accept someone elses. But, the reward in collaborating is very special and I'm all for it when the right writing partner comes along.

  11. Is there anything outside of music that you would like people to know about you?
Plenty. So let's talk about that in person.
